Your first visit to the Lower Sioux Dental Clinic is about you – your comfort, your wellbeing and your health.
We understand that dental concerns can be sensitive, painful, embarrassing, or may cause anxiety. We are sensitive to your needs, and we strive to provide an environment where you can receive high quality care in a safe and comfortable environment. At your first visit, we seek to find out your desires and the direction you would like to go with your treatment. After our exam, we then work with you to create a treatment plan that works for you.
Prior to your first visit you will be asked to fill out forms related to patient registration, privacy policy, and medical history. If you are the parent or guardian of a patient who is a minor, please complete these forms on their behalf. The medical history form helps us to understand and tailor treatment specific to your needs. So that we can provide the best and most comprehensive care, in an efficient manner, we ask that you complete all appropriate forms to the best of your ability. This may also help to reduce stress and anxiety from the visit. All information you supply will remain strictly confidential.
During your first visit we will review your dental and medical history forms, complete a head and neck exam, an intraoral exam, x-rays (if needed), and any other appropriate exams. The doctor will then review all of this information with you and, along with you, your desires and your input, will develop a treatment plan to address your dental needs or concerns. Generally, your next visit will be for a cleaning before beginning on the treatment plan.
Office Visits
Regular check-ups and cleanings are recommended to best ensure the health and wellbeing of your teeth and smile. These visits can be scheduled with your dental personnel. We recognize the importance of planning and schedule in your life. Parents/guardians are asked to present to the clinic with minors, and remain until appointment is completed. Our appointments generally last between 45 and 90 minutes.
Financial Information
The cost of treatment will depend on your needs and the level of treatment you are seeking. We will work with you to craft a treatment plan that is best suited for your needs. Our office staff is here to help answer your questions, and to work with you and your insurance provider.
